Important Dates
May 27 - Track and Field Day - gym uniform to be worn
June 3rd – Arts night
June 4th – School Spelling bee (Justin, Arya, Marcus)
Parents you are all invited on June 10th @ 2:00-330pm to come and watch the JK-Gr. 2 GRADUATION!!!!! Each student will walk across the stage and receive a certificate of completion for their grade. At this time three awards will also be handed out (per grade) for Language, Math, and UOI.
(THIS IS ALSO CASUAL DAY; STUDENTS CAN COME TO SCHOOL DRESSED IN THEIR "GRAD" OUTFITS!)
For students in Gr.3-8 their Graduation starts at 5pm, everyone is welcome to attend even if they do not have a child in this grade range.

- Book orders due back Oct. 17
- Reading homework - is our five little pumpkin poem located in the agenda bag, please return ziplock bag for next weeks reading homework
- Winter uniform is now in effect, students are no longer able to wear the short sleeved polo
- St. Jude's is doing a food drive for Eden food bank, if you are interested in helping please send non-parishable items with your student to school.
- After care invoices were sent home in the agenda. Please send paymeny by cash, cheque (made payable to St. Jude's Academy), or online plastique website (please note additional banking fees may apply). Payments are due by Oct.17th, after this date late fees will be applied. Please keep in mind after-care begins at 3:45 and ends at 6. If your child is in a program that starts at 4 they will be charged (as stated on program sign up page) for the time before their program (3:45-4:00). Calendar - Today we learned our days of the week song, said the date and dressed Charlie for the weather.
Today we also completed a class graph about birthdays to find out which month has the most birthdays in our classroom.
Independent Reading - As part of our daily 5 students will look at stories, do picture walks, and listen to others telling stories.

Journal -
Today we learned our sight word of the week ME. We learned a poem about the word ME. In our journals we then wrote a line from the poem Me and my cat. (Some of us traced it) Once we were done we drew a picture to match the sentence. Take a look:
