Calendar - Today we learned our days of the week song, said the date and dressed Charlie for the weather.
Daily 5 -As part of our daily 5 students will look at stories, do picture walks, independent read, partner read, and listen to others telling stories, and practise writing words:
Today students participated in partner reading, students took turn completing picture walks and telling the story in their own words.
As part of our daily five students participated in listening to reading. Today we listened to the story:

As part of our Daily 5 students will practice working on writing (through copying sentences in their journals) or word work (practicing sounding out words, cutting and pasting words into proper sequence to build words.) Today we practised sounding out and making three letter words:

UOI-
Today we worked on completing a picture. Students were given a page that had a road, water, and clouds. They had to cut out pictures of modes of transportation and glue them in the appropriate spots:
UOI Centres-
Students had to answer trivia questions in order to be able to pick their centre.
Car mats, airport, blocks, puzzles, Mr. Potato head, art easel (chalk, whiteboard markers, painting) and cut and paste. Working on sharing, manners, fine and gross motor skills, imaginative play, problem solving and working together.
Important Dates:
- Feb 25 - Casual Day
- Feb 26 - Oral Presentations for top 3 finalists, competition starts at 9:00 parents of the finalists are more then welcome to come watch .Book orders due
- March 2nd - PJ day for those we are not speech finalists (Justin, Anthony, Saraya must come to school in full SJA dress uniform. Please send PJS in their backpacks I will help them change after.)
- March 3rd - Sports Jersey day - students can come to school dressed in a sports jersey
- March 4th - House colours day, come dressed in your house hoodie or colours
- March 5th - Super Hero/Princess day - students may come to school dressed as their favourite super hero or princess character. Summative assessment due.
- March 6th - St. Patrick's Day - dress in all green!
- March 4th - 5th - Monthly bake sale - items range from $1+
