Calendar - Today we learned our new days of the week song, said the date and dressed Charlie for the weather.

Independent Reading - As part of our daily 5 students will look at stories, do picture walks, and listen to others telling stories.

Journal - 
Today we learned our sight word of the week ARE. We learned a poem about the word ARE. In our journals we then traced a line from the poem Strawberries are red. (Some of us wrote it ourselves) Once we were done we drew and coloured a red strawberry. Take a look:

Language -
Today we learned a song about Inky Mouse and the sound letter Ii makes. Next we practised making letter Ii with playdough. We then practised tracing (from some of us writing the letter Ii) Once we were done We decorated our Igloo because I is for Igloo. Take a look:

Math - 
Today we continued to practise sorting objects by name, shape, size, colour

Music - today we learned songs about: counting to 100, the planets, months of the year, classroom rules, outside/inside voices, phonics

UOI -
Today we learned about all the different learner profiles and talked about how they related to being a good friend. We made a poster to help remind ourselves

• Book orders sent home in Agendas due back Sept 15 
• Trip permission and payment forms will go home Sept 15 
• Karate, piano, zumba, dance etc. forms and payments due back ASAP 
• Homework folders will be sent home in agendas tomorrow and are due back every Tuesday to be filled
