Important Dates

May 27 - Track and Field Day - gym uniform to be worn

June 3rd – Arts night

June 4th – School Spelling bee (Justin, Arya, Marcus)

Parents you are all invited on June 10th @ 2:00-330pm to come and watch the JK-Gr. 2 GRADUATION!!!!! Each student will walk across the stage and receive a certificate of completion for their grade. At this time three awards will also be handed out (per grade) for Language, Math, and UOI.

(THIS IS ALSO CASUAL DAY; STUDENTS CAN COME TO SCHOOL DRESSED IN THEIR "GRAD" OUTFITS!)
For students in Gr.3-8 their Graduation starts at 5pm, everyone is welcome to attend even if they do not have a child in this grade range.

Important - 


  • Reading homework sent home in the agendas and is due back FRIDAY!!!
  • New homework added to the home work folder
  • Fall Festival permission forms were sent home in the agenda this is a family event feel free to purchase tickets for all family members 
  • Chudleigh's permission forms and trip money due back next Monday Sept 22nd

Calendar - Today we learned our  days of the week song, said the date and dressed Charlie for the weather.

Independent Reading - As part of our daily 5 students will look at stories, do picture walks, and listen to others telling stories.

Story - Today we read the story You get what you get, Thank you to Ms. C for reading us a story.   tip: when your child wants something that they might not get ex. a different colour popsicle etc. remind them "you get what you get and you don't get upset!" Its our new mantra!!

Journal - 
Today we continued to work on our sight word of the week AM. We learned a poem about the word AM. In our journals we then traced a line from the poem I am worried. (Some of us wrote it ourselves) Once we were done we drew and coloured a worried face. Take a look:

Language -   

Today we continued to work on the letter Uu, we practised our song about Up Up Umbrella and the sound letter Uu makes, and writing it in our workbooks! 




Math - 

Today we learned the number 5.  We learned how to write it on our own, how to count it what number comes before and after it and how to represent it with items and tallies!

Music - today we learned songs about: counting to 100, the planets, months of the year, classroom rules, outside/inside voices, phonics. Look at us learning the sound oo says:


UOI -

Today we learned about being open minded. We talked about how we are the same but also how we are different. We learned that it is ok to be different!

UOI Centres-
House, dress up, playdough, puzzles, Mr. Potato head, blocks. Working on sharing, manners, fine motor skills, imaginative play, problem solving and working together
