Important Dates
May 27 - Track and Field Day - gym uniform to be worn
June 3rd – Arts night
June 4th – School Spelling bee (Justin, Arya, Marcus)
Parents you are all invited on June 10th @ 2:00-330pm to come and watch the JK-Gr. 2 GRADUATION!!!!! Each student will walk across the stage and receive a certificate of completion for their grade. At this time three awards will also be handed out (per grade) for Language, Math, and UOI.
(THIS IS ALSO CASUAL DAY; STUDENTS CAN COME TO SCHOOL DRESSED IN THEIR "GRAD" OUTFITS!)
For students in Gr.3-8 their Graduation starts at 5pm, everyone is welcome to attend even if they do not have a child in this grade range.

Calendar - Today we learned our days of the week song, said the date and dressed Charlie for the weather.
Independent Reading - As part of our daily 5 students will look at stories, do picture walks, and listen to others telling stories.
Story -
Today we read a story about The Little Pea, we learned about healthy eating and which foods are good for you and which foods are considered "junk" foods. We all made a promise to bring/eat healthier foods!

Journal -
Today we continued to work on our sight word of the week I. We learned a poem about the word I. In our journals we then traced a line from the poem I read stories. (Some of us wrote it ourselves) Once we were done we drew a picture from our favourite story. Take a look:

Language -
Today we learned the letter Ee, we practised our song about it and the sound letter Ee makes, and writing it in our workbooks!
Math -
Today we practised one to one correspondence on numbers 1-5. We played a game where Mrs. Smith wrote a number on the board and we had to count out that many in blocks.
Music - today we learned songs about: counting to 100, the planets, months of the year, classroom rules, outside/inside voices, phonics.
UOI Centres-
House, dress up, playdough, puzzles, Mr. Potato head, blocks. Working on sharing, manners, fine motor skills, imaginative play, problem solving and working together
