Important Dates

May 27 - Track and Field Day - gym uniform to be worn

June 3rd – Arts night

June 4th – School Spelling bee (Justin, Arya, Marcus)

Parents you are all invited on June 10th @ 2:00-330pm to come and watch the JK-Gr. 2 GRADUATION!!!!! Each student will walk across the stage and receive a certificate of completion for their grade. At this time three awards will also be handed out (per grade) for Language, Math, and UOI.

(THIS IS ALSO CASUAL DAY; STUDENTS CAN COME TO SCHOOL DRESSED IN THEIR "GRAD" OUTFITS!)
For students in Gr.3-8 their Graduation starts at 5pm, everyone is welcome to attend even if they do not have a child in this grade range.

SJA will be selling poppies to support our local veterans. Please kindly send in a donation of any denomination so that your child can wear a child friendly poppy for our Friday assembly.

Calendar - Today we learned our  days of the week song, said the date and dressed Charlie for the weather. 

Independent Reading -As part of our daily 5 students will look at stories, do picture walks, partner read and listen to others telling stories.

Today we learned the letter Bb, we practised our song about it and the sound letter Bb makes, and writing it ourselves:

Math -

Today we continued our new math unit on 3D shapes. We learned about a cone and where we see it in the world around us. We then finished our 3D shape book. 


Music - today we learned songs about: counting to 100, the planets, months of the year, classroom rules, outside/inside voices, phonics and sight words. 

UOI -   
Today we read the story:
students had many questions regarding the war and what happened to people in it. 





UOI Centres-

House, dress up, sensory bin, puzzles, Mr. Potato head, art easel (chalk, whiteboard markers, painting) and cut and paste. Working on sharing, manners, fine and gross motor skills, imaginative play, problem solving and working together.
